Mr. James "J.L." Lewis Giddens, age 67, passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2023. He was born on April 11, 1956. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Giddens and Mildred "Gaston" Giddens; brothers, Cecil Gates, David Giddens. He is survived by his daughters, Heather Trammel and husband Jarren of Dalton, Valerie Giddens of Dalton; brother, Hugh Gates of Dalton; brother in-law, Tony Brown; sisters, Joann Brown of Tunnel Hill, Traci Dumas and husband Bobby of Macon, Ga.; son in-law, Clint Jackson; grandchildren, Kayla Jackson, Dylan Jackson, Jada Rankin, Gavin Burke, Abel Rankin, Lylah Simmons; several nieces and nephews. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mr. James "J.L." Lewis Giddens will be held at 4:00 PM on Saturday, September 16, 2023 in the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Brother J.T. Sandres Officiating. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at Dalton Funeral Home.
