James Hanley Poynter, age 67, of Calhoun, Georgia passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2015. He was born on April 3, 1948. He is preceded in death by his parents, James William and Sarah Poynter. James is survived by his wife of 35 years, Sharyn Poynter of Calhoun; sons and daughters in law, James Robert and Sherri Poynter of Eustis, FL, Chad Michael and Michelle Dishner of Dunwoody, GA; daughters, Jordan Aryn Poynter of Portland, OR, Kim Marie Poynter; brothers, Alvin Poynter of Lake City, FL; sisters, Shirley Thompson, Sue, and Pansey; and 3 grandchildren.
