James "Jimmy" Rice, age 52, of Chatsworth, Ga. passed away on Friday, October 4, 2024. He was born May 10, 1972. He was preceded in death by his father, Timothy Douglas Rice; great grandmother, Nanny Mae Rogers, Grandmother, Julia B. Nichols; grandfather, Quiller "Nick" Nichols; uncles, Larry Nichols, Johnny Nichols, Gary Nichols He is survived by his mother, Barbara Nichols Rice; son, Josh Whitaker; brother, Mark Allan Rice; sister, Melissa R. Webb and her husband Steven Webb; several aunts, uncles and cousins. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Mr. James "Jimmy" Rice will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at the Chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Jason Chastine officiating. Interment will be at West Hill Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, October 7, 2024 at Dalton Funeral Home.
