James Monroe Sexton, age 68, of Crandall, Georgia passed away Wednesday, November 1, 2017. He was born on January 22, 1949 in Oneida, TN. He was preceded in death by his parents, Monroe Sexton and Julie Jeffers; and a sister, Sarah Barnes. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Linda Sexton of Crandall; sons and daughters in law, Tim and LaGretta Sexton of Calhoun, James Jr. and Nikki Sexton of Crandall; brother, Leroy Sexton of LaFollette; sisters and brothers in law, Barbara Huckelby and Emmett of Louisiana, Shirley Chadwell of Oneida, Louise Day of Oneida, Sueann Lanter and Bobby of Helenwood; grandchildren, Gracie Sexton, Andrew Morrison, Jessica Morrison, Brittany Morrison, Erin Davis; great granddaughter, Scarlett Bishop; special nephew, Jerry Sexton; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service to celebrate the life of James Monroe Sexton will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, November 5, 2017 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home. Interment will be at West Hill Cemetery.
