James Shipman, age 71, of Dalton, Georgia passed away Wednesday, March 10, 2021. He was born July 1, 1949. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Rosa Shipman; brothers, George Shipman, Leon Shipman and Fred Shipman; sister, Annie Shipman. He is survived by his brother-in-law, Franklin Harradon; brothers, Veron Shipman of Chattanooga, TN; Jerry Lee Shipman of Dalton, GA; Steven Shipman of Dalton, GA; sisters, Rebecca Wells of Dalton, GA; Kathleen Jones of Chatsworth, GA; niece, Barbara Shipman of Dalton, GA. A Funeral service to celebrate the life of James Shipman will held at 1:00 PM Saturday, March 13, 2021 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Bro. Randy Yaugh officiating. Interment will be at United Memorial Gardens. The family will be receiving friends for visitation Friday, March 12, 2021 from 5-8 PM at Dalton Funeral Home.
