James Lewis "JL" Sneed, age 75, of Dalton, Georgia passed away Friday, November 17, 2017. He was born on December 2, 1941. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mack and Cora Sneed; brothers, Lawrence Sneed, Glen Sneed, Ray Sneed, Homer Sneed; and a sister, Faye Chapman. He is survived by his wife, Claudell Sneed of Dalton; son and daughter in law, Danny and Lisa Sneed of Dalton; daughter, Amy Weaver of Dalton; brothers, Clifford Sneed; 4 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service to celebrate the life of James Lewis "JL" Sneed will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, November 19, 2017 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Bro. Joe Tomblin officiating. Interment will be at Concord Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends for visitation an hour prior to the service.
