James E. Taylor, SR age 69, of Cohutta, Georgia passed away Monday, April 4, 2016. He was born on February 20, 1947. James was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Ann Taylor; parents, Abe Francis Taylor and Leonia Taylor; and his brothers, Larry, Walter, and Ronald Taylor. He is survived by his sons and daughters in law, William and Celeste Taylor of Cohutta, James, JR and Elizabeth Taylor of Cohutta; daughters and sons in law, Ruth and Travis Barnes of Dalton, Teresa and Johnny Kendrick of Cleveland, TN; sister and brother in law, Rose Ann and Bobby Henderson of Dalton; special friend, Deven Taylor; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. A funeral service to celebrate the life of James E. Taylor, SR will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at Beaverdale House of Prayer with Timmy Turnipseed and Shane Pierce officiating. Interment will be at Smith Chapel Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 5-9 PM on Tuesday evening and He will lay in state at the church an hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
