Jamie Massengill, age 47, of Cartersville, Georgia passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2024. He was born on October 20, 1976. Jamie loved golf, the beach, cruising and Kenny Chesney. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Betty and Pete Massengill, and Wesley and Leola Crider; and his fur babies, Peanut and Missy Diva. He is survived by his father, Allen Massengill (Trish); mother, Linda Thackston (Wayne); brother, Lance Thornsburg (Shelly); sisters, Ashley Simmons (Jesse), Lakea Massengill, Shetta Taylor, Shanda Kennedy; step siblings, Tonia Depner (Devane), Brian Thackston; aunts, Ginger Davis (Chris), Gretchen Crowell (Bill), Shirley Wiggs (Eddie), Flo McDaniel; uncle, Steve Crider; nieces and nephews, Zak Thornsburg (Taylor), Emily Cornett, Kara Cartalla (Aurthur), Samuel Thornsburg; several cousins; and several special friends "you know who you are". A funeral service to celebrate the life of Jamie Massengill will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Ministers David Simmons, Paul Hughes and Eddie Wiggs officiating.
