Janice Yvonne Reed, age 62, of Chatsworth, Georgia passed away on Thursday, October 9, 2014. She was born on November 15, 1951 in Dalton, GA. Janice is preceded in death by her parents, Dennis and Kathleen Nicholson; the father of her children, John C. Tate SR; a son, John C. Tate JR; brothers, Darmon Nicholson, Kenneth Nicholson and Robert Nicholson; sisters, Carolyn Wilson and Vivian White. Janice is survived by her loving husband, Jerry Reed of Chatsworth; sons, Randall L. Tate and his wife Brandy of Dalton, Dennis J. Tate and his wife Linda of Chatsworth, Jacob Tate of Chatsworth and Joseph C. Tate and his fiancé Codie of Chatsworth; daughters, Pamela Denise Tate of Calhoun and Ruby Tate of Rome; sisters, Gloria Jackson and her husband Claude of Dalton and Helen White and her boyfriend James of Dalton; she also has many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Janice Yvonne Reed will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, October 13, 2014 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home. Interment will follow at West Hill Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 5:00 – 9:00 Pm on Saturday evening, 9:00 AM – 9:00 Pm on Sunday, 9:00 AM till the hour of service on Monday.
