Jerry D. Baker, age 76, of Dalton, Ga. passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2024. He was born June 20, 1948. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elijah Baker and Calvi Eldrod Baker; brothers, Samuel Baker, Dan Baker, Bill Baker, Charlie Baker; sister, Easter Grabbit; grandchild, Ryan Miner. He is survived by his loving wife, Bernice Baker; sons, Phillip Baker, Allen (Sue) Patterson; daughters, Genene (Curtis) Minor, Lisa (William) Welch; brother, Carl Baker; grandchildren, Joshua (Samantha) McConathy, Jacob McConathy, Kristy (Michael) Welch, Savannah Welch, Jessie Miner, Megan Miner, Luke Polly, Danielle Polly; great grandchildren, Hagen McConathy, Nevaett Harris, Mary Polly. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Mr. Jerry D. Baker will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at the Chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Pastor Jaime Baker officiating. Interment will be at Damascus Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at Dalton Funeral Home.
