Jerry Edward Stephenson, age 78, of Dalton, Georgia passed away Saturday, June 29, 2019. He was born on November 4, 1940. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Evelyn Stephenson; brother, Robert Stephenson; and sister, Shirley Wooten. He is survived by his wife, Aileen Stephenson of Dalton; sons and daughters in law, Alan and Kim Stephenson of Cohutta, Gary and Vicky Stephenson of Dalton; daughters and sons in law, Vicky Stephenson of Dalton, Trina and Jeff Seibenhener of Etawah, TN, Kim and Joe Azua of Dalton, Macy Stephenson of Dalton; 7 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and his special little fur companion, Buddy. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Jerry Edward Stephenson will be held at 8:00 PM Monday, July 1, 2019 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Bro. Zach Plumbley officiating. Interment will be at West Hill Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends for visitation Monday evening from 5:00 PM until the hour of service.
