Jerry Cecil Walker, age 74, of Dalton, Georgia passed away Thursday, September 5, 2019. He was born on October 14, 1944. Jerry was Sargent and a diesel mechanic for the United States Army. He was preceded in death by his parents, Garnis Cecil and Helen Ruth Walker; and a son, Kerry Walker He is survived by his spouse of 38 years, Cathy Walker; son and daughter in law, John and Charlotte Walker; daughters, Amanda Walker, Aleasha Layman, Helen Walker; grandchildren, Traci Tarvin, Jessica Walters, Brandon Coots, Ashley Walker, Michael Layman, Jonathan Walker, Zachary Thompson, Tyler Thompson; and great grandchildren, Brooklyn Walker, Sagin Walker, Braylon Walker, and Allaylah Coots. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Jerry Cecil Walker will be held at 4:00 PM Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Bro. Ronald Guffey officiating.
