Jessie Frank Mealer, born on March 18, 1965, in Dalton, Georgia, passed away peacefully at his residence on March 10, 2026. He was a beloved figure, cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Jessie dedicated a significant part of his life to his career at Duckworth Farms, where he worked tirelessly and with great passion. Known for his warm spirit and kindness, he was a wonderful father who filled the lives of his children with love and joy. He had a unique ability to connect with everyone he met, and his generous heart earned him the admiration and affection of many.
He is survived by his daughter, Niki (Chris) Rogers of Ringgold, and his son, Patrick Mealer of Rocky Face. Jessie also leaves behind the children of his late fiancé, Michelle (Daniel) Burk and Michael Amos, both of Dalton. His loving sisters, Diane Mealer of Ringgold and Kathy (Morris) Gowin of Chatsworth, along with many nieces and nephews, also carry on his legacy. Jessie was a proud grandfather to Chaysun Caraway and Jaxon Hasty, who brought him immense happiness. In addition he is survived by special friends, Josh Phillips, Jessee Chadwick, and Runt Sizemore.
He was predeceased by his parents, Steve and Christine Brookshire Mealer, as well as his step-mother, Betty Mealer. His siblings Ethel Mealer, Trease Morgan, Charles Mealer, David Quarles, and Steve Mealer have also passed on, along with Ida Boyd, his fiancée of 24 years.
The family will receive friends on Friday, March 13, 2026 from 2 PM- 4PM at Dalton Funeral Home. Funeral service following visitation at 4 PM from the Chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Pastor Keeley Hasty officiating. Burial will follow at Mill Creek Cemetery.
Jessie Frank Mealer will be remembered not only for his contributions to his family and community but also for the love and compassion he bestowed upon all. His memory will forever live in the hearts of those who knew him.
