Ms. Jewel Hunter, age 87, of Calhoun, Ga departed this life on May 26, 2023. She was born on April 4, 1936. She was preceded in death by her parents; Jessie Payne and Hester Phillips, father of her children; Charles Hunter, daughter; Lisa Scott. She is survived by a son; Kim and Rhonda Hunter, daughters; Joyce and Skip Anderson, Sue and Fletcher Braden, Charlotte and Sammy Thomas, Becky and Tim Redd, sisters; Polly Dilbeck, Teresa and Melvin Dills, 14 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Ms. Jewel Hunter will be held at 11:30 AM on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 in the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home. Burial will be held at 1:00 Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at Whitfield Memorial Gardens. The family will begin visitation from 2:00 - 3:00 PM and will be receiving friends for visitation from 3:00 – 5:00 on Monday, May 29, 2023 at Dalton Funeral Home.
