Jimmie Ray Blevins, JR, age 51, of Cohutta, Georgia passed away Sunday, January 15, 2017. He was born August 18, 1965 in Wayne County, Michigan. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Joan Blevins of Cohutta, GA; sons, Jimmie Ray Blevins III and his wife Emilie of Portland, OR, Matthew Hamilton Blevins of Portland, OR, Jonathan Ellis Blevins of Cohutta, GA, Mitchell Hunter Blevins of Cohutta, GA; parents, Jimmie Ray Blevins, SR and Ann Love Hamilton Blevins of Cohutta, GA; sisters and brothers in law, Victa and Tommy Edge of Rocky Face, GA, Patrice Nix of LaFayette, GA, Melissa Hammontree of Cohutta, GA, Jennifer and Kendall Tate of Cohutta, GA, Sheila Jennings of Cartersville, GA, Pam and Brian Young of Cohutta, GA; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Jimmie Ray Blevins, JR will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Hopewell Baptist Church (810 Baldwin Rd. Cohutta, GA 30710) with Rev. John Tudor and Pastor Nick Bivens officiating. The family will be receiving friends at the church from 1:00 PM until the hour of service.
