Jimmie Kenneth Mason, age 87, of Dalton, Georgia passed away Friday, April 20, 2018. He was born on February 20, 1931. He was preceded in death by his parents, Flossie Pendergrass Mason and Fred Mason; brothers, Coolidge, Frank, Sherman, and Virgil Mason; sisters, Maggie West, and Hazel Pendergrass. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Jimmie and Tammy Mason of Dalton; daughter and son-in-law Darlene and Rick Green of Delaware; brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Louise Mason of Eton; grandchildren, Keith Stacey, Kellie Tidy, Heather Free, and Jimmie Mason 3rd; great grandchildren, Kayla Tidy. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Jimmie Kenneth Mason will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, April 22, 2018 at the Chapel of Dalton Funeral Home. Pastor Brian Branam will be officiating the service. Noah Offutt, Danny Mason, Daniel Mason, Allen Baynes, Tim Conell, and Paul Byrd will be serving as pallbearers and Jack Bowen will be an honorary pallbearer. Interment will be at Mount Carmel Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends for visitation on Saturday, April 21. 2018 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
