Jimmie Thacker, age 85, of Chatsworth, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2014 at Gordon Hospital. He was born on December 16, 1928. Jimmie is preceded in death by his wife of 36 years, Dorothy Thacker; parents, Guy and Mary Thacker; (biological parents, Don Seller and Frances Bohannon) grandparents, Marion and Sally Thacker. He is survived by his 3 sons and 2 daughters, Cherry Ann Thacker Hooker of Chatsworth, Timothy Thacker of Chatsworth, Marilyn Miller of Dalton, Lincoln and Kathleen Thacker of Dalton, Guy and Tracy Thacker of Dalton; 9 grandchildren, Crystal Hooker, Marlina Hullender, Melanie Hooker, Stephanie Bunch, Karrie Porras, Crystal Green, Elizabeth Thacker, Ashley Thacker, Tiffany Thacker; 12 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Jimmie Thacker will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, January 19, 2014 at Christian Fellowship Church with Pastor Chuck Harris officiating. Interment will follow at West Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 9:00 PM on Saturday evening.
