Jimmy Parson, age 84, of Dalton, passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2022. He was born on July 10, 1938. He is preceded in death by his parents, Winston and Ollie "Wimpey" Parson; brothers, Winston Parson, Marvin Parson; sisters, Connie Clark, Mary Ray, Geneva Signer, Gwennell Palmer He is survived by his wife, Evelyn "Haley" Parson; son, Jimmy Parson of New York; daughters, Tammy and David Starkey of Calhoun, Becky and Roy Cross of Decatur, TN.; step-daughters, Brenda and Mike Hampton of Rocky Face, Judy and Mike Yarbrough of Dalton, Pam and Ronnie Cook of Dalton; brothers, Billy and Mary Jo Parson of Dalton, Kenneth and Vernice Parson of Chatsworth; sisters, Martha and Boyd Bramlett of Rocky Face, Helen Miller of New Jersey, Linda McBrayer of Calhoun; a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Mr. Jimmy Parson will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 24, 2022 in the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Pastor Billy Parson officiating and Billy Ray performing the eulogy. Interment will be held at Center Valley Cemetery in Chatsworth. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 11:00 – 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at Dalton Funeral Home.
