Jimmy R. Watts Sr., age 72 of Dalton, GA passed away on Saturday, September 7, 2024. He was born on August 20, 1952 in McCaysville, GA. He is preceded in death by his parents, Sterling and Ann Watts. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Betty Jo Watts; his beloved children, daughter, Jenny Watts; son, Jimmy Watts, Jr.; grandchildren; Magen Watts and fiancé Andrew Stark, Alisha Hicks, Elijah Hicks; great grandchildren, Dagen Green and Hazel Grace Stark; brothers, Larry Patterson, Sterling Watts, Jr.; sisters, Debbie Corn and Ricky, Denise and Rebecca Montgomery; several nieces and nephews; many special friends and neighbors; special sisters in-law, Rosie Maddox and Wanda Southern. He is a devoted member of North Whitfield Missionary Baptist Church. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Mr. Jimmy R. Watts Sr. will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at North Whitfield Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor J.T. Sanders and Brother Tim Roberson officiating. Interment will be West Hill Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at Dalton Funeral Home.
