Jo Ann Travis, age 83, of Chatsworth, Georgia passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2020. She was born on October 27, 1936. Jo Ann loved cooking and loved flowers. She was preceded in death by her parents, Buford and Mossie Ridley; son, Larry Baggett; brothers, Junior Ridley, Randall Ridley, and Jackie Ridley. She is survived by her husband, Johnny Travis of Chatsworth; son and daughter in law, David and Sherry Baggett of Chatsworth; daughters and sons in law, Debra Baggett Bruner and Richard Bruner of West Side, Melissa "Missy" Travis Beavers and Jason Beavers of Chatsworth; brother and sister in law, Bobby and Sandra Ridley of Dalton; sisters and brother in law, Virginia Marcus of Chatsworth, Maxine and Tommy Sparks of Chatsworth, Carolyn Dupree of Chatsworth; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. The family would like to give a special thanks to Tapestry Hospice for their kindness and compassion during this time. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Jo Ann Travis will be held at 4:00 PM Friday, May 8, 2020 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Pastor Danny Jenkins officiating. Interment will be at Williams Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 11:00 AM until the hour of service.
