John Michael Johnson, 69, of Rome, GA, formerly of Trabuco Canyon, CA, and a twenty-year resident of White, GA, passed away on Wednesday, November 19, 2025. John Johnson, born November 11, 1956, in Evanston, Illinois, was the beloved son of Ann Dorothy Ertl Johnson and the late Robert Werner Johnson. He dedicated many years of his career as an accountant with Hughes Aircraft Company, where his diligence and integrity were deeply valued. John was a godly man whose kindness and gentle spirit touched everyone he met. With a huge heart and a gift for making others laugh, he was cherished by family, friends, and all who knew him. He shared a beautiful life with his wife, Diane, enjoying countless road trips and treasured moments together. A devoted Cubs fan and enthusiastic bowler, John found joy in the simple pleasures of life. His legacy is one of faith, love, laughter, and generosity—a man whose presence brought warmth and happiness to those around him. In addition to his mother, Ann Dorothy Ertl Johnson, he is survived by his devoted wife of thirty-one years, Diane Lynn Marvel-Johnson; his brother, Robert Werner Johnson, Jr. (Judy); his sister, Mary Ann Johnson; and his brother-in-law, Don Marvel (Desiree). He also leaves behind four nephews, Robert W. Johnson, III "B.J." (Le Ann), Eric Johnson, Tanner Marvel (Caitlyn), and Cameron Marvel; a cherished great-niece, Charlotte Johnson; and his beloved dog, Roscoe.
