Johnny Clay Cupp Sr., age 72, of Dalton, passed away Thursday, July 6, 2023. He was born on February 4, 1951. He was preceded in death by his parents, father Billy Clyde Cupp Sr. and his mother, Lula Faye "Jones" Cupp; brother, Larry Bruce Cupp; sisters, Cleda, Freda, Betty Jean, Diana and Hope. He is survived by his loving wife, Becky "Morton" Cupp of Dalton; Johnny Clay Cupp Jr. and wife Ashley of Dalton, Christopher Cupp of Dalton; brother, Bill Cupp and wife Mary of Tn.; sisters, Yvonne Sue Cupp of Va., Aleen Collins and husband Johnny of Tn.; Louise Cupp of Tn.; grandchild, Kayden Fowler. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Mr. Johnny Clay Cupp Sr. will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, July 9, 2023, in the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Bro. Jeremy Brewer officiating. Interment will be at United Memorial Gardens. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM on Sunday, July 9, 2023, at Dalton Funeral Home.
