Johnny W. Hughes, age 70, of Rocky Face, Georgia passed away Thursday, March 2, 2017. He was born on May 28, 1946. He was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Lee Hughes; parents, John William Hughes and Willie Inez Turner Hughes; brother, Robby Hughes; sisters, Joann Hughes, Betty Sue Hughes, Kathy Holmes, Villamae Waters and Viola Tramel. He is survived by his wife, Glenda Hughes of Rocky Face, GA; sons and daughters in law, James and Delaine Hughes of Rocky Face, GA, John Hughes of Lafayette, GA, Bobby and Stephanie Banks of Old Fort, TN; daughter and son in law, Becky and Steve Saucer of Chatsworth, GA; brothers and sisters in law, Will Hughes of Calhoun, GA, James and Jo Hughes of Cedar Bluff, AL, Raymond and Wanda Hughes of Dalton, GA, Ronnie and Kathy Hughes of Villanow, GA; sisters and brothers in law, Tammy and Terry Jones of Cisco, GA, Darlene and Leonard Grizzelle of Villanow, GA, Nancy and George Brewer of Rocky Face, GA, Patsy and Bobby Ashe of Chatsworth, GA, Mary and Tommy Holcomb of Rocky Face, GA; grandchildren, Tyler and Ashley Hughes, Heather Hughes, Chase Hughes, Macayla Banks, Lauryn Scott, Tevin and Joann Scott, Coleman Saucer, Conner Saucer; great grandchildren, Raydus Hughes, David Cook, JR; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Johnny W. Hughes will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, March 5, 2017 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Pastor Lee Ingram officiating. Interment will be at Lonely Dove Cemetery in Dalton. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 5-8 PM on Saturday evening.
