Jon Post, age 51, of Dalton, Georgia passed away Saturday, November 5, 2016. He was born in Dalton at Hamilton Medical Center on October 24, 1965.  He attended Georgia Cumberland Academy in Calhoun.  He graduated from Brook Haven Community College in Farmers Branch, Texas.  He lived in the Dallas area where he was employed by G6 Hospitality. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Alfred and Opal Moore, George Post and Alice Ruskjer. He is survived by his parents, Ed and Pat Post of Dalton; sister, Sheila Ormes of Dalton; brother in law, Steve Ormes of Dalton; niece, Allison Ormes; nephew, Steven (Danielle) Ormes; great nephews and niece, Greyson, James, and Arabella Ormes. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Jon Post will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, November 12, 2016 at the Dalton Seventh-Day Adventist Church (300 S. Tibbs Rd. Dalton, GA) with Pastor Chester Clark III officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests be made to Georgia Cumberland Academy in Calhoun, Georgia.
