Joseph Oliver Lewis Franklin, age 75, of Dalton, Georgia passed away Thursday, August 26, 2021. He was born on June 28, 1946. He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Jenny Overa Franklin; son, Jeffery Lewis Franklin; brothers, Dennis Franklin, Robert Franklin, James Franklin; and a sister, Rose Peters. He is survived by his sons and daughter-in-law, Joseph Junior Franklin of Dalton, Mark and Angela Franklin of Chatsworth, Brian Phillips of Dalton; daughters, Pamela Manis of Varnell, Ashley Price of Tunnel Hill; brother, Michael Franklin of Ringgold; sister, June Neal of Rossville; 11 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM on Tuesday, August 31, 2021, with the funeral to follow at 2:00 PM at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home.
