Clara "Josephine" Davis, aged 90, of Dalton, Georgia, passed away Monday, July 9, 2018. She was born on August 25, 1927. Josephine was preceded in death by her husband, Wilburn Estel Davis; son, Wilburn Kay Davis; parents, Millard Philmore Frost and Angie Willet Frost; brothers, Shelby Frost, Robert Frost, Clifford Frost and Eddie "Sammy" Frost. She is survived by her son, Rayburn Davis of CA; daughters, Lois Dousham of CA, Carole Cogswell of CA, Patricia Warren of Rossville, Barbara McKee of Tunnel Hill, Tracy Davis of Dalton; brother, Walter "Billy" Frost of IN; 8 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild, and another on the way. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Clara "Josephine" Davis will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, July 11, 2018, at Harmony Grove Baptist Church with Bro. Johnny Beason officiating. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 2:00 PM until the hour of service. Interment will be at Good Hope Cemetery. Chris Davis, Jason Davis, Adam Warren, Brian McKee, Rex Frost, Dustin Taylor, Billy Starks and Aaron Roberts will be serving as pallbearers. In Lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations for a trust in mom's honor to benefit Tracy Davis, her youngest surviving daughter who lived at home and took care of mom until she passed.
