Devoted wife, mother, and nana, Joy Kay McClain, age 67, of Dalton, GA passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2023. She was born April 9, 1956. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy H. Stephens and Opal Faye McCormick Stephens; brothers, C.W. Stephens (Pat) and Herman "Sonny" Stephens; sisters, Arthell Carroll, Wanda Rhinehart (Ron), and Sue Cloud. She is survived by her loving husband, Ronald McClain; son, Ronald "Keith" McClain; daughter, Mandy Kay McClain; brothers, David, Timothy, and William Stephens; sisters, Gail Goins, Jessie Mae Whitley (Oron), and Elizabeth Heaton; Granddaughters, Hannah, Ashlyn; Great Granddaughter, Hadley; Special Nieces and Nephews, Paula, Charlene, Kristy, Deana, Amy, Tammy, Roger, Lorrie and Jackie; special friend, Lisa Conner; also, Second Mama to many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Joy McClain will be held at 12:00 pm on Sunday, October 29, 2023 at the Chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Pastor Roger Goins officiating. Interment will be at United Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends for visitation from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at Dalton Funeral Home.
