Starts at 6:00 pm (Eastern time)
Joyce Ann Kinsey, a devoted and steadfast soul whose life was a testament to faith, love, and resilience, passed away on June 8, 2026, at Hamilton Medical Center. Born on February 4, 1949, in Dalton, Georgia, Joyce's journey through life was marked by her unwavering commitment to her Lord, her cherished family, and her community.
Joyce's career as a truck driver for Sound Floor Covering was distinguished not only by her dedication and professionalism but also by the respect she earned from those who worked alongside her. It was a role that suited her spirit perfectly, one defined by reliability, strength, and perseverance.
A very faithful woman, Joyce found profound inspiration in her daily reading of the Bible, and she was a proud and active member of the Chatsworth Church of God. Her spirituality was the cornerstone of her existence, guiding her actions in her life with a quiet grace that touched everyone she met.
Beyond her vocational and spiritual commitments, Joyce was first and foremost a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her nurturing heart and steadfast devotion shaped the lives of her children, Ricky Hughes and Tonya Hughes, who survive her. She was also a guiding presence in the lives of her grandchildren, Tyler Morales, Victor Cervantes, Trinity Cervantes, and Alonso Cervantes, and her great-grandchildren, Aliyah Cervantes, Amelia Cervantes, and Camila Cervantes, each of whom carried forward her legacy of love.
Joyce’s earthly voyage concludes as it began, enveloped in the faith that sustained her. She was predeceased by her father, James Rogers; her mother, Frances Ridley Rogers; and her brother, Lamar Rogers, who no doubt welcomed her with open arms beyond this life.
Her passing leaves a profound emptiness in the hearts of those who knew her, yet her example endures, a beacon of devout faith, maternal warmth, and unyielding strength. As we bid farewell to Joyce Ann Kinsey, we remember not only the years she graced us with her presence but the enduring spirit she imparted, a legacy that will continue to inspire and uplift all who were blessed to know her.
