Juan Antonio Ruiz, age 68, of Dalton, Georgia passed away Monday, September 18, 2017. He was born on July 3, 1949 in Edinburg, TX. Juan proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mario Ruiz and Eva Espinoza Ruiz; and a brother, Jesus Arnold Ruiz. He is survived by his wife, Maria Martinez Ruiz of Dalton; sons and daughter in law, John Ruiz of Dalton, Arnold and Laura Ruiz of Dalton; daughters, Amy Ruiz of Dalton, Melissa Chavez of Humble, TX, E. Christina Ruiz-Capuchino and Robert Capuchino of Humble, TX; brothers, Mario Ruiz, Rodolfo Ruiz, Jose Ruiz, Xavier Ruiz; sister, Magda Y. Ruiz; 6 grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, September 22, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment will be at Chattanooga National Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 10:00 AM until 9:00 PM on Thursday evening at the funeral home.
