Judy Mae Thompson, age 71, of Dalton, Ga., passed away at Hamilton Medical Center on Tuesday, February 13, 2023. She was born on February 1, 1952. Judy worked 25 years and retired from Shiroki, she was also a member of Valley Brook Church Of God. She is preceded in death by her father, James R Atkinson; brother Lester Atkinson; sister, Vickie Atkinson. She is survived by her mother, Nannie Mae Atkinson; husband, Stanley Thompson; brothers, Larry Atkinson (Crystal) of Bedford, Ky., Charles Atkinson (Mary), Lee Roy Atkinson (Christy), David Atkinson (Angie), Randy Atkinson, all of Dalton, Ga., Mickey Atkinson (Kelley) of Ooltewah Tn.; sisters, Doris Hobbs (Lewis) of Taylorsville, Ga., Martha King (Kirby) of Dalton, Ga., Linda Earnest (George) of Cohutta, Ga, Pasty Jones (Bruce) of Dalton, Ga., Renay Blackwell of Dalton, Ga.; Several nieces, nephews and cousins; Special friends, Sue and William Shelton, Nancy Lee, Shirley Hamrick. A visitation will be held at Dalton Funeral Home on Friday, February 17, 2023 from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM. A service will be at Saturday, February 18, 2023 at 3:00 PM at Valley Brook Church of God. Pastor Junior Clayton and Bro. Lee Roy Atkinson will be officiating. Interment will be at United Memorial Gardens in Dalton, Ga.
