June Michelle Smith, 55, of Dalton, Georgia passed away on Monday, September 27, 2021. She was born on August 27, 1966. She was preceded in death by her father, Marvin Lee Roper; sisters, Marian Sanders, Vicky Roper, Joyce Maming, Mildred Terry, Sally Terry, and Minnie Ruth Terry. She is survived by her mother, Flonnie Christine "Martin" Roper; husband, Troy Maynard; sons, David Slade Smith and Billy Joe Smith; daughter, Selena Mills; brother, Buck Terry; sisters, Teresa Estelle, Betty Ann Lankford, and Diane Hayes; and four grandchildren. A memorial service to celebrate the life of June Michelle Smith will be held at a later date. June will be laid to rest in Varnell Cemetery.
