Karon Joy Johnson, age 65, of Dalton, Georgia passed away Monday, July 29, 2019. She was born on October 21, 1953. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jonathan Deloyd Ballew and Lois Joy Laney. She is survived by her husband, David Johnson of Dalton; sons and daughter in law, Sy and Ashley Martin of Greenville, SC, Jacob Johnson of Dalton; sister and brother in law, Norma Jo and Wayne Templeton of Mableton, GA; grandchildren, John Martin and Ada Martin. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Karon Joy Johnson will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, August 1, 2019 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Pastor Marty Greene officiating. Interment will be at West Hill Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 5-8 PM Wednesday evening.
