Kate Hawkins, age 91, of Dalton, Georgia passed away Monday, January 22, 2018. She was born on May 9, 1926. Kate was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Hawkins; her parents, Lewis and Betty Cochran; and 7 brothers and sisters. She is survived by her son, Randy Hawkins of Dalton; daughters and sons in law, Pat and Ricky Fowler of Resaca, GA, Lynn and David Reynolds of Gray, GA; 5 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Kate Hawkins will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, January 25, 2018 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Mike Goswick officiating. Interment will be at New Zion Hill Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends for visitation an hour prior to the service.
