Katherine Wheeler, age 74, of Chatsworth, Georgia passed away Thursday, December 7, 2017. She was born on March 1, 1943. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Young; parents, Arles and Margie Whitaker; brother, Jimmy Whitaker; sisters, Faye Whitaker and Connie Whitaker. She is survived by her sons, Bobby Morgan (Patricia Pendley) of Chatsworth, Mark Morgan of Dalton; daughters, Margie Patterson (Randy) of Chatsworth, Angie Dyer (James) of Lafayette; sisters, Cassie Redwine (Ralph) of Dalton, Linda Hazelwood (George) of North Carolina, Carol Wagner (Charlie) of North Carolina; best friend, Eileen Townsend; 16 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Katherine Ann Wheeler will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, December 11, 2017 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Bro. Donny Mattila officiating. Interment will be at Old Fashion Baptist Church Cemetery with Bro. Calvin Townsend officiating. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 5-8 PM Sunday evening.
