Kendell Stanley, age 73, of Dalton, Georgia passed away Monday, August 28, 2017. He was born on August 14, 1944. Kendell loved fishing. He loved music, he played the guitar, sang, and played the harmonica in his band. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Henry Stanley and Pauline Barnes Stanley; brothers, Lester Stanley, Boyd Stanley; and a sister, Martha Whitmire. He is survived by his sons, Joe Keith Stanley of Rock Ledge, FL. Rodney Lee Stanley (Shawn) of Ringgold, GA, Gary Allen Stanley (Kris) of Rocky Face, GA; daughters, Sheila Smith of Cleveland, TN, Sherry Montgomery (Ryan) of Cleveland, TN, Stacy Womac (Jason) of Cohutta, GA; brothers, Jack Stanley (Judy) of Dalton, GA, Grady Stanley (Grace) of Dalton, GA; sisters, Eva Young (Donald) of Chatsworth, GA, Teresa Stanley of Rome, GA; 20 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Kendell Stanley will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, September 1, 2017 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Bro. Donald Young officiating. Interment will be at West Hill Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 5-9 PM Thursday evening. Eric Smith, Hunter Stanley, Tyler Stanley, Austin Rymer, Cameron Womac, Caleb Womac and Ryan Womac will be serving as pallbearers.
