Larry Gene Emelander, age 36, of Dalton, Georgia passed away Saturday, May 26, 2018. He was born on August 11, 1981. He was preceded in death by his mother, Beverly Emelander; uncles, Mike Fowler, Kim Singleton; aunts, Shelby Kinsey, Michelle Singleton, and Carolyn Emelander. He is survived by his wife, April West of Dalton; 3 year old daughter, Chloe Elizabeth Emelander of Dalton; father, Larry Emelander of Dalton; sisters and brothers in law, Jennifer Emelander of Dalton, Crystal and Fernando Ramirez of Dalton, Twyla and Tavis Dixon of Cartersville; father in law, James Massey of Dalton; mother in law, Kathy Massey of Dalton; aunts, Jenna Little of Dalton, Irma Fowler of Dalton; uncles, Gary Emelander of Dalton, Larry Singleton of Dalton, Mike Emelander of Illinois, Terry Emelander of Michigan; special friends, Melvin West of Dalton, Chris West of Dalton; several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Larry Gene Emelander will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 29, 2018 with Pastor Mark Seay officiating. Interment will be at West Hill Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 5-8 PM Monday evening. Jeremy Little, Josh Little, James Massey, Scooter, Jonathan Fowler, and Michael Fowler will be serving as pallbearers.
