Larry Dewayne Griggs, age 32, of Dalton, Georgia passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2015. He was born on November 9, 1982. He is preceded in death by his father, Gary Wayne Griggs; and his grandfather, Bill Bartlett. He was survived by his mother and stepfather, Sarah and Roger Locke; sister and brother-in-law, Alicia and Scott Mathis of Dalton; brothers, Gary Wayne Griggs of Dalton, TJ Griggs of Calhoun, Rodney Locke of Calhoun, Tony Locke of Resaca, David Locke of Dalton, Darren Locke of Chatsworth, grandparents, Martha Bartlett of Dalton, L.D. and Nelly Griggs of Dalton; and Joyce who was like a second mother to Larry; nieces and nephews also survive. And loved by all. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Larry Dewayne Griggs will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home. Interment will follow at West Hill Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 10:00 AM till the hour of service.
