Larry David Yaeger, age 80, of Dalton, Ga., passed away on Monday, November 6, 2023. He was born on November 17, 1942. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Ioa 'Elrod' Yaeger; brothers, R.E. and Trammell Yaeger; sister, Mary Francis Jamison. He is survived by his loving wife, Shirley Yaeger; sons, Terry Yaeger (Donna) and Alan Yaeger (Lisa); 10 grandchildren and 25 great-children; special brother-in-law, Thurman Pate (Carolyn). Mr. Yaeger was married to the love of his life for 63 years. He was a member of Valley Baptist Church. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Mr. Larry David Yaeger will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at the Chapel of Dalton Funeral Home, with Pastor Charlie Hamm, Pastor Gene Thomason, and Speaker-Thurman Pate (brother-in-law) officiating. The Pallbearers will be; Chris Sloan, Dewayne Linder, Marcus Worley, David Yaeger, Dario Dorado, and Matt Schmeltz. The Honorary Pallbearers will be; Ernest Jones, Wallace White, Jeff Dudley, Hughdon Sanford, J.C. Hall, and Jeffery Hamm. The interment will be at Dug Gap Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 10, 2023, at Dalton Funeral Home.
