Laura Jean Stoddard, age 52, of Dalton, Georgia passed away Thursday, February 18, 2016. She was born on June 27, 1963. Laura was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Lou Stoddard; and a sister, Julia Stoddard. She is survived by her sons and daughter in law, Dustin Payton of Dalton, David Payton and Amanda Scott of Calhou; brothers, John Stoddard, Jack Stoddard, Barry Stoddard all of Indiana; granddaughter, Ava Payton. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Laura Gean Stoddard will be held at 5:30 PM Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Dustin Payton officiating.
