Lawrence Henry "LH" Underwood, Jr, age 76, of Resaca, Georgia passed away on Sunday, April 13, 2014. He was born on July 31, 1937. He was the son of the late Lawrence Henry Underwood, Sr, and Lucy Mae Underwood. Along with his parents he is also preceded in death by his brother, Gary Underwood; sisters, Kathrine Underwood, Frances Foster, Elaine Burton. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Lillian Underwood of Resaca, GA; sons and daughters in law, Henry and Wanda Underwood of Chatsworth,GA, Eugene Underwood of Resaca, GA, Wayne and Laura Underwood of Nicklesville, GA; daughter and son in law, Janice and Lynn Lewis of Dalton, GA; sister and brother in law, Clara and Charles Landcaster of Mcdonough, GA; 5 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Lawrence Henry "LH" Underwood, Jr will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, April 17, 2014 at Corinth Baptist Church with Brother Dino Bishop officiating. Interment will be at Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home from 12:00 to 9:00 PM on Wednesday, he will lay in state Thursday morning at the church from 10:00 AM till the funeral hour.
