Lee F. Skidmore, age 90, of Dalton, Ga. passed away on day, September 6, 2024. He was born March 29, 1934. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Laura Estell Arnold Skidmore; parents, Paul and Enda Epps Skidmore; daughter, Barbara Ann Skidmore; brothers, LD Skidmore, Bill Skidmore; sister, Mable Pittman. He is survived by his sons, Raymond Skidmore and his wife Janice, Billy Skidmore and his wife Martha, Randal Skidmore and his wife Cortney; daughters, Wanda Shorter, Laura Hammontree and her husband Donnie; brothers, Paul Junior Skidmore, Charlie Skidmore and his wife Shirley, Robert Skidmore; sister, Ruth Patterson; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-six great grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Heartlite Hospice, Shelly, Tracey, Cody, Ivy and Daniel. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Mr. Lee F. Skidmore will be held at 4:00 pm on Monday, September 9, 2024 at the Chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Mathis officiating. Interment will be Good Hope Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Monday, September 9, 2024 at Dalton Funeral Home.
