Mr. Lemuel "JW" Axley, age 75, of Dalton, GA passed away on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at Wooddale Nursing Home in his sleep.. He was born on June 21, 1946. He was preceded in death by his father, JW Axley; mother, Ellen "Hyde" Axley; sisters, Evelyn Duckett, Beatrice Neeley, Juanita Houk, and Marion Orr; and son, Jimmy Axley. He is survived by his daughter, Betty Jean Axley Sprayberry; son, William Axley of Dalton; daughter-in-law, Renae Axley of Cohutta, GA; sister, Reba Strange of Newport, TN; 6 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and several brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews, and friends.
