Lennis Lou "Janie" Spence, age 70, of Dalton, Georgia passed away Saturday, October 19, 2019. She was born on August 2, 1949. She was preceded in death by her husband and the father of her children, John Sales; her second husband, Richard Spence; parents, John and Annie Hawkins; sisters, Hazel Thomason, Helen McGinnis and Maude Goforth; and brothers, Claude Hawkins and Billy Ray Hawkins. She is survived by her sons and daughter in law, Dale Sales of Eton, Lail and Telitha Sales of Eton; daughter and son in law, Mira and Greg Witt of Tunnel Hill; sister, Barbara Ann Trimble of Rocky Face; grandchildren, Kristen and Jonathan Cochran, Gregory Witt, Ashley and Abby Sales, Bradley Sales, Jeremiah Sergent, Chandra Sales, Evan Sales, Emma Sales, Destiny and Michael Stork, Erin Robinson, Colby Alford, Megan and Nick Walbert; great grandchildren, Brent, Tyler, Sofie; and special friends, Susan Dyer and Herlene Lowe. The family would like to give special thanks to Regency Park and Hamilton Hospice. To celebrate the life of Lennis Lou "Janie" Spence will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at New Life Church with Bro. Paul Armstrong and Bro. Rick Spence officiating. Interment will be at United Memorial Gardens. The family will be receiving friends for visitation at the church from 11:00 AM until the hour of service at 2:00 PM.
