Lillian Underwood, age 88, of Resaca, Georgia passed away Sunday, October 14, 2018. She was born on February 24, 1930. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence (L. H.) Underwood; parents, Frank and Nellie Planzer; sisters, Kathrene Johnson and Lucy Peters. She is survived by her sons and daughters in law, Henry and Wanda Underwood of Chatsworth, Eugene Underwood of Nickelsville, Wayne and Laura Underwood of Nickelsville; daughter and son in law, Janice and Lynn Lewis of Dalton; brother, Frank Planzer of Dalton; 6 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Lillian Underwood will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, October 19, 2018 at Corinth Baptist Church (778 Corinth Rd NE, Resaca, GA) with Bro. Dino Bishop officiating. Interment will follow at the church's cemetery. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM Thursday evening at Dalton Funeral Home, and will lay in state from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM on Friday at the church.
