Lillie Hooker, age 72, of Dalton, Georgia, resident of Quinton Memorial, departed this life on Saturday, November 25, 2017. She was born on April 16, 1945. She was preceded in death by her father, Ruben Tipton; mother, Bertie Bunch; and brother, James "Jimmy" Tipton. She is survived by her sons, Ronald Gene Hooker Jr. of Tunnel Hill, GA, Gary Wayne Hooker of Dalton, GA; daughters, Linda Chavez of Dalton, GA, Betty (William) Ellis of Cleveland, TN, and Tammy Miller of Chatsworth, GA; brothers, Rev. John Tipton (Linda Sue) of Murphysboro TN; sisters, Ruby (Bill) Durham of Dalton, GA and Mary Murillo of Dalton, GA; 13 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren, several nephews and nieces. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Lillie Hooker will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home and the family will also receive friends from 11:00 AM until the time of service with Pastor Hoyle Ellis officiating.
