Linda Sue Neal age 78, of McDonough, GA, passed away on Saturday, August 16, 2025. Linda was born in Dalton, GA, on February 18, 1947, the daughter of the late Cleve Smith and Sarah Wilson Smith. She was a charter member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Riverdale, GA. Linda worked for Sam's Club for twenty-one years. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Linda enjoyed family gatherings, outdoors, and gardening. In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her siblings, Richard Smith, Louise Hayles, Esther Gentry, and Herman Smith. Survivors include her husband of fifty-seven years, Steve Douglas Neal, Sr; two sons, Doug Neal and Scott Neal (Linda); eight grandchildren, Cody De'Hollosy, Coty Speck, Chelsie Neal, Allie Neal, Kacie Neal, Kamryn Neal, Kayla Neal, and Abbie Neal; four great-grandchildren, A.J. Neal, Olivia Neal, Brenden Neal, and Mason Crews; and three siblings, Kathleen Satterfield (Jerry), Odes Smith (Ann), and J.M. Smith (Gail). Several nieces and nephews also survive. A Celebration of Life will be Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at 1:00 P.M., Chapel of the Dalton Funeral Home with Perry Smith officiating. Interment will follow at West Hill Cemetery.
