Lloyd Banks Stone, age 85, of Cohutta, Georgia passed away Thursday, August 6, 2020. He was born on August 21, 1934. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Vera Stone; brothers, Gene Stone, and Clinton Stone; sisters, Julia Bennett, and Jewell Pritchett. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Bridget Stone of Cohutta; son and daughter in law, Glenn and Myra Stone of Sugar Valley; daughter and son in law, Renee and David Moneta of Cohutta; sisters, JoAnn Bates Turner of Dalton, Peggy Wilson of Ringgold; grandchildren, Nicole Kendall, Jaime and Jesse Goode, Jessica Kendall, Beth Kendall, Stacie Stone, Andrew and Lauren Stone, Carla Walker, Lauren Snowden, Ashley Virkstis, Tyler Virkstis; 6 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild. The family will have a private graveside service at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Cohutta. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
