Obituary

Louise Padgett of Dalton, Georgia was born in Isabella, Tennessee on March 25th, 1942. She received her ultimate healing from cancer May 27th, 2023 when she went home to be with Our Lord Jesus. She left this life surrounded by family in her home. Louise is joining her parents, Noah Chester and Edith Harris, her baby brother Clifford Harris, and great grand- daughter Madison Louise Taylor in Heaven. Louise left many loved ones behind here on Earth who love and miss her dearly: daughter Mary Jo Withrow and husband Chris, son Don Cochran, sisters Stella Trantham, Eula Mae Hughes, Mary Mason and husband Johnny, grandchildren Brandon and Samantha Adams, Dustin and Nikki Taylor, Mathew and Kristen McBrien, Matthew Cochran and Ashley Cochran, Cody and Breanna Hardy, Cody and Savanna Withrow, and Cameron Withrow, great grandchildren Amara, Naomi, and Grayson Adams, Reagan and Everett Taylor, Edie McBrien, Skylar and Jordi Gazaway, Maliri Rider, and Cashton and Cennox Withrow, as well as several nieces and nephews and very special friends. Louise loved with her whole heart and even in her last days continued to worry about the wellbeing of her family. On any given day you could find Louise reading her Bible or praying for every person in her family, close friends, and even strangers who crossed her path. Louise was a lifelong Christian and attended church almost every Sunday at City View Church of God until she received her cancer diagnosis. Louise has talked about how beautiful Heaven was going to be for years and how she couldn't wait to get there. How sweet it is to know she is finally experiencing it firsthand. Louise will be greatly missed, but we know she is in a much better place and she can see how much she is loved! The family will accept visitors Sunday May 28th, 2023 from 12-4 pm with a service immediately following at Dalton Funeral Home, 620 S. Glenwood Ave. Dalton, GA 30721. Louise will be laid to rest in the coming days at New Hope Holiness Church Cemetery on the border of Murphy, NC and Copperhill, TN next to her parents. Louise did not wish to have a graveside service, so per her request we will not have one they day she is laid to rest. Arrangements have been entrusted to independently owned and operated Dalton Funeral Home, 620 S. Glenwood Ave. Dalton, GA 30721; 706-529-5371.
