Loyd Earnest Wilson, age 71, of Dalton, Georgia passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2018. He was born on August 20, 1947. He was preceded in death by his parents, DF and Irene Wilson; brothers, Felton Wilson, Ronald Wilson, Verlon Wilson, Henry Wilson; sisters, Ora Mae King and Mary Lou Farmer. He is survived by his wife, Jane Wilson of Dalton; sons and daughters in law, DF and Lela Wilson of Dalton, Loyd Wilson, JR of Dalton, Frank and Carla Wilson of Rocky Face; brothers and sisters in law, Woodrow and Debbie Wilson of Dalton, Bruce and Darlene Wilson of Dalton; sisters and brother in law, Martha Gowin of Dalton, Verla and Jack Grooms of Dalton; grandchildren, Tiffany and Carlos Colŏn, Blake and Magan Souther, Josh and Leigha Wilson, Scott and Macayla Souther, Erica and Jose Carrillo, Katlin Wilson; and 16 great grandchildren. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Loyd Earnest Wilson will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, December 21, 2018 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Pastor Donnie Trammell, Bro. Nathan Trammell and Rev. DF Wilson officiating. Interment will be at Colonial Hills Memorial Park. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 5-8 PM Thursday evening.
