Machelle Thornton, age 62, of Resaca, Ga. passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2024. She was born November 2, 1961. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mickey and Judy Rhodes; brothers, Robert Rhodes, Ronald Rhodes, Benjamin Rhodes. She is survived by her sons, Loyd Pelt, John Rhodes; daughters, Judy (Joey) Long; grandchildren, Sierra Long, Ambrosia Long, Dylan Long, Chloey Long, Michael Pelt, Austin Pelt, Summer Baron, William Pelt, and Heaven Pelt. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Ms. Machelle Thornton will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at the Chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Pastor Rob Long officiating. Interment will be at Immanuel United Fellowship Church. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at Dalton Funeral Home.
